Introdução
O consumo de tabaco, como determinante de saúde, está muitas vezes associado a comportamentos evitáveis.
Quando falamos do consumo de tabaco na gravidez, este assume particular relevância pelo comprometimento da saúde e bem-estar materno-fetal estando associado a prematuridade, restrição de crescimento fetal e aumento das taxas de morbilidade e mortalidade perinatal e infantil.
Objetivo
Identificar fatores que contribuem para o consumo de tabaco na mulher grávida
Metodologia
Na Revisão Sistemática da Literatura (SLR) realizada, pelo método PI[C]OD, com a questão: Que instrumentos permitem a caracterização do consumo de tabaco na mulher grávida? A pesquisa de artigos científicos ocorreu na interface-EBSCOhost de 2003-2013. Dos 59 artigos identificados, selecionaram-se 11 que cumpriam os critérios de seleção.
Resultados
Como instrumentos que permitem determinar fatores que contribuem para o consumo de tabaco na mulher grávida identificámos três no âmbito da Depressão, dois relacionados com o Stress e 6 associados a diferentes domínios.
Da análise realizada emergiram quatro categorias: Dados Sociodemográficos (idade, habilitações, raça/etnia, co-habitantes e nível socioeconómico); Literacia sobre tabagismo (conhecimento sobre o Impacto do consumo de tabaco e da exposição ao fumo de tabaco para mulher, feto e recém-nascido); Saúde reprodutiva (vigilância pré-concecional, pré-natal e pós-parto); Saúde mental (violência sobre as mulheres, outros consumos, stress e depressão).
Conclusão
Os resultados encontrados nesta SLR conduziram-nos a uma síntese de fatores que contribuem para o consumo de tabaco na mulher grávida, com contributos sustentados para a elaboração de um instrumento de colheita de dados que permita a caracterização do consumo de tabaco na mulher grávida e futura intervenção na comunidade.

When we speak of smoking during pregnancy, it assumes a particular importance regarding the impairment of maternal and fetal health and well-being, being associated with preterm birth, fetal growth restriction and increased morbidity and perinatal and infant mortality. Objectives: To identify factors that contribute to tobacco use in pregnant women. Methods: In the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) held, according the PI[C]OD method, with the question: What factors contribute to tobacco use in pregnant women? The research for papers occurred at the interface-EBSCOhost 2003-2013. Of the 59 articles identified, 11 met the selection criteria and were selected. Results: As instruments to determine factors that contribute to tobacco use in pregnant women we identified three within the Depression, two related to Stress and 6 associated with different domains. Four categories emerged from the analysis: Socio-demographic data (age, qualifications, race/ethnicity, cohabitants and socioeconomic status); Literacy on smoking (knowledge on the impact of tobacco consumption and exposure to tobacco smoke for women, fetus and newborn); reproductive health (pre-concecional surveillance, prenatal and postpartum); Mental health (violence against women, other consumption, stress and depression). Conclusions: The results found in this SLR led us to a synthesis of factors that contribute to tobacco use in pregnant women, with sustained contributions for the development of a data collection instrument which allows the characterization of smoking in pregnant women and future intervention in the community
