Abstract(s)

Although sustainability in HEI has been studied for over twenty years, relatively little is known about the status of its implementation in the Portuguese HEIs. Few studies have investigated higher education for sustainable development (HESD) in Portugal and none have addressed how sustainability is interpreted and implemented in Portuguese HEIs, the role of HESD, and the related challenges and obstacles they face.
