“Sentir e crescer” com o espaço exterior: contextos de aprendizagens na Educação Pré-escolar e no 1.º CEB
O presente relatório de estágio, composto por duas partes, reflete o percurso realizado no Mestrado em Educação Pré-escolar e em Ensino do 1.º CEB na Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico de Santarém. A primeira parte abrange a análise e reflexão das atividades e aprendizagens desenvolvidas no âmbito dos estágios da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada. Na segunda parte, apresenta-se a componente investigativa. O estudo de caso qualitativo teve como principal objetivo compreender as potencialidades do espaço exterior no desenvolvimento e na aprendizagem das crianças. O estudo envolveu 49 crianças (do Pré-escolar e do 1º CEB) e 4 educadoras e 4 professores. Os dados obtidos através da observação participante (registo fotográfico, plantas dos espaços exteriores e notas de campo), do inquérito por entrevista, por focus group com as crianças/alunos e análise documental possibilitaram concluir que o espaço exterior apesar das suas potencialidades é ainda um espaço pouco valorizado pelos profissionais.
“Feel and grow” with the outdoor space: learning environments in Preschool and Primary education This present internship report consists of two parts and shows the path taken in the Masters Degree of Preschool and Primary Education at the Higher School of Education of the Instituto Politécnico de Santarém. The first part covers the analysis and reflection on the activities and apprenticeships developed in the internships of Supervised Teaching Practice’s. In the second part is presented the investigative component. The case study qualitative had as its main goal to understand the potentials of the outdoor space for the children development and learning. This study involved 49 children (from preschool and primary education), 4 nursery school teachers and 4 primary school teachers. The data collected through participant observation (photographic records, blueprints of the outdoor space and field notes), through interview survey, through focus group with the children/students and through document analysis made it possible to conclude that the outdoor space, despite its potentials, is still undervalued by the education professionals.
