Tendo em conta que o educador de infância/docente de Intervenção Precoce experiencia diariamente dilemas frequentes, neste artigo propomo-nos refletir sobre como as dimensões afetivas (de humanitude) e as dimensões éticas são sentidas pelos técnicos de Intervenção Precoce. Para o efeito, foi realizado um inquérito por questionário a 15 educadores/docentes de Educação Especial em Intervenção Precoce com experiência nesta área, através de protocolo de aplicação direto e via eletrónica.
Deste estudo resultaram vários dados qualitativos que, depois de analisados e discutidos, levaram a diversas conclusões que vêm dar respostas às questões e problemática iniciais. Os dados obtidos, na generalidade, apontam para que estes profissionais valorizem a capacidade de escuta, a disponibilidade, a empatia e a credibilidade.
