O presente relatório retrata o percurso realizado no Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar da
Escola Superior de Educação de Santarém. A primeira parte reúne as aprendizagens e
reflexões adquiridas nas práticas pedagógicas dos diferentes contextos de estágio. Na
segunda parte, consta a componente investigativa, inicialmente, com uma fase exploratória
que envolveu 35 educadores(as), para se aceder às perceções e práticas desses profissionais
em relação à promoção da literacia científica no espaço exterior, e, posteriormente, um estudo
de caso com 20 crianças do jardim de infância, para se verificar o desenvolvimento de
competências de literacia científica, tais como a observação, classificação, previsão,
formulação de hipóteses e a interpretação de dados, em atividades outdoor. Os dados
recolhidos através de questionários aos docentes, observação direta, notas de campo e
produções gráficas das crianças permitiram verificar que o espaço exterior permite o
desenvolvimento de aprendizagens, atitudes e competências científicas essenciais a uma
literacia científica.
This report, organized in two parts, describes the path taken in the Master's Degree in Preschool Education at the Higher School of Education of Instituto Politécnico de Santarém. The first part brings together the learning and reflections acquired during the pedagogical practices in the different contexts of internship. The second part, contains the investigative component, initially, through an exploratory phase that involved 35 educators, to access the perceptions and practices of these professionals in relation to the promotion of scientific literacy in outer space, and posteriorly a study case with 20 kindergarten children, to verify the development of scientific literacy skills, such as observation, classification, prediction, hypothesis formulation and data interpretation, in outdoor activities. The data collected through questionnaires to teachers, direct observation, field notes and graphic productions of the children, allowed us to verify that the outer space allows the development of learning, attitudes and essential scientific skills to scientific literacy.
