Abstract(s)

O presente estudo teve como objetivo conhecer e comparar as conceções de professores e alunos do 1o ciclo do Ensino Básico, relativamente ao fenómeno bullying. Para tal, foram construídos dois inquéritos por questionário, aplicados a uma amostra constituída por 91 alunos, do 3o e 4o ano de escolaridade e por 6 professores. No inquérito aos professores, procurou-se investigar as suas perceções acerca deste fenómeno, nomeadamente as condutas de bullying mais frequentes, as motivações, as consequências e as estratégias de intervenção utilizadas. No inquérito aos alunos, pretendeu-se obter dados relativamente à taxa de incidência destes comportamentos (seja praticados, na perspetiva do agressor, seja sofridos, na perspetiva de vítima), aos locais de ocorrência, às razões subjacentes à sua manifestação e às formas de reação/atuação perante os mesmos.

This study was aimed at the assessment and comparison of primary school teachers’ and students’ conceptions about bullying. Two questionnaire based surveys were built and applied to a sample universe of 91 third and fourth grade students and 6 teachers. In the teachers’ survey we tried to investigate their perceptions about this phenomenon, including the most frequent bullying behaviours, students’ motivations, consequences and intervention strategies used. In the students’ survey the aim was to obtain data on the incidence rate of these behaviours (whether committed by bullies or suffered by victims), the places where they occur, the reasons for their manifestation and the forms of reaction / action facing them.
