- Psychosocial risk and engagement in early childhood professionals: insights from a regional portuguese studyPublication . São João, Ricardo; Mendes, NéliaThe European Agency for Safety and Health at Work recognizes psychosocial risks in the workplace as a major threat to workers' health and safety. Work engagement has emerged as a strong predictor of performance and productivity. Therefore, it is crucial to investigate these concepts among professionals from the Local Early Intervention Teams (LEI) of the National Early Childhood Intervention System (SNIPI) within the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Regional Subcommittee (SCRLVT), who are often exposed to high work demands. This study aimed to identify psychosocial risks and engagement levels, analyze variations according to sociodemographic and professional characteristics, examine differences across engagement dimensions, and explore the relationship between psychosocial risks and engagement.

Neste contexto, foi aplicada a Escala de Depressão Geriátrica [EDG-15] para avaliar a Sintomatologia Depressiva (SD) num grupo de utentes ERPIs.

São João, Ricardo; Henriques, Susana JustoAlzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia, accounting for approximately 60–70% of all cases. Its prevalence is expected to double by 2050, potentially affecting over half a million people in Portugal. Cognitive stimulation is a recommended psychosocial intervention for individuals with AD. To assess the effectiveness of such interventions, repeated-measures ANOVA or mixed linear models (MLMs) are commonly used.

- Dados do Projeto "They Day Life Span Nowadays project” associados à proteção e promoção de um ciclo de vida de qualidade Perceções dos educadores/ técnicos superioresPublication . Galinha, Sónia; Carvalho, Olivia; São João, Ricardo; Morales Calvo, SóniaEm recorte, é objetivo desta comunicação apresentar dados de um estudo qualitativo parcial do "They Day Life Span Nowadays project” realizado através da aplicação de um inquérito por entrevista semiestruturada (n=6 técnicos/ especialistas/educadores, idade=24-49, feminino, região centro esul de Portugal, de conveniência) e um focus group, assim como da aplicação de instrumento sociodemográfico questionário com identificação de género, idade, formação superior e experiência (2-23 anos serviço). Os dados obtidos apontaram para necessidades de formação e para a modelação de programas de formação- demonstraram a necessidade do foco na educação/ pedagogia e direitos; níveis de funcionalidade e autonomia, tarefas do cuidado; esperança; redes de apoio, equipas multidisciplinares e respostas sociais.
- Managing Sustainable Energy Decisions:A Prospect – Theory Perspective Theory PerspectivePublication . Guedes, Pedro; Santos, Paulo; São João, RicardoThe survival of humanity increasingly depends on its own actions. Sustainability is a pressing issue that must be systematically integrated into all decision-making processes. In management, multiple factors often influence the selection of decisions at the expense of more sustainable alternatives. Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) methods are used to objectify, support, and enhance the transparency of complex decisions involving multiple criteria. Research shows that applying MCDA in group decision-making increases satisfaction levels and the perception of fairness. These methods foster group commitment and facilitate negotiation toward a collectively supported solution. This communication aims to contribute to future research by replicating the studies of Leoneti & Gomes (2021). In the field of group multicriteria decision, specifically, it proposes replacing Case 3 — "Selection of the New President of a Company" — with two new case studies whose criteria and alternatives are explicitly related to sustainability (energy production sources). This cases will engage specialists and vocational education students in constructing a value tree, including the selection of criteria, alternatives, and performance descriptors. In both case studies Two case studies concerning energy production sources will be developed, and MCDA models will be applied to select the preferred option.
