Abstract(s)
desenvolvimento e bem-estar do feto.
No entanto, as aplicações móveis projetadas
Pregnancy is a unique physiological phase in which various adaptations that ensure the normal development and wellbeing of the fetus occur in the woman’s body. According to scientific evidence, prenatal physical activity that is practiced according to the appropriate recommendations benefits both the fetus’ and the woman’s physiological, psychological and health conditions. Even though there are multiple research results about exercise during pregnancy, women are still misinformed about this practice, and very few perform physical activity during this phase. Pregnancy is the medical condition that has the largest available number of mobile apps. Despite this, mobile apps that are specifically designed to increase physical activity during pregnancy are scarce, and those who do focus on such objective do not follow the current physical activity guidelines. This work has the following objectives: elaborate a literature review about the evaluation and prescription of physical exercise (study 1) and about a cross sectional study on the development of a mobile app dedicated to active pregnancy – promotion of a healthy lifestyle during pregnancy and postpartum (study 2) with the aim of identifying the needs and preferences of pregnant women regarding the development of a mobile app.
