Outdoor Space Opportunities in Children's Learning and Development in Early Childhood Education: A Literature Review. This two-part internship report, reflects the observations and experiences that occurred during the internship course within the scope of the Master in Pre-school Education at Escola Superior de Educação de Santarém. The first part covers the analysis and reflection of the path developed within the scope of Supervised Teaching Practice. In the second part, a systematic review of the literature is presented and was based in the question: “What are the opportunities of outer space in the learning and development of children in early childhood education contexts? With the purpose of understanding and systematizing the benefits of experiences developed in outdoor space/nature environment in order to understand child's body and sensory system. The study involved defining an investigation protocol in which three search terms were established, in two languages that allowed the delimiting of the most relevant and current studies of the last five years. With the data it is possible to verify, the potential that the outdoor/natural space offers, due to its unique and dynamic features. In terms of the body, outdoor spaces are one of the most beneficial invitations to movement, revealing benefits in terms of health and motivation to learn, emphasized, through different senses that, combined and organized, integrate sensorially denser knowledge and experiences, further developing creativity and new ways of understanding the world.
