Abstract(s)
O Catfishing é um novo fenómeno resultante do forte crescimento da utilização da internet e da consequente massificação das redes sociais. Destaforma, cinco estudantes da Licenciatura em Produção Multimédia em Educação realizaram dois questionários, um sobre o Catfishing e outro sobre os perigos da Internet, no âmbito da Unidade Curricular de Análise do Discurso dos Media. O estudo foi ao encontro dos objetivos da Unidade Curricular como a compreensão do impacto dos (multi)media nos indivíduos e na sociedade; conhecer os diferentes discursos mediáticos, nas suas formas de produção e receção; recolher, selecionar e interpretar a informação relevante; produzir um discurso analítico sobre os medias e refletir criticamente acerca da contemporaneidade mediática. Concluiu-se que foi possível compreender a literacia digital na utilização da Internet e das redes socias, no que se refere ao fenómeno do Catfishing, cada vez mais crescente na sociedade.
Catfishing is a new phenomenon resulting from the strong growth from using internet and the consequent massification of social media. Five students of the bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Production in Education took two questionnaires, one on Catfishing and the other on the dangers of the Internet, within the framework of the Media Discourse Analysis Curricular Unit. The study was to meet the objectives of the Curricular Unit, such as understanding the impact of (multi)media on individuals and society; to know the different media discourses, in their forms of production and reception; collect, select and interpret the relevant information; produce an analytical discourse on the media and reflect critically on the media contemporaneity. It was concluded that it was possible to understand digital literacy in the use of the Internet and social networks with regard to the phenomenon of Catfishing, increasingly increasing in society.
