Abstract(s)
A gestão do ganho
visando ampliar a compreensão desta temática.
CINAHL, Nursing & Allied Health Collection e Cochrane Central Register of Controled Trials e
foram incluídos 9 artigos. Emergiram como intervenções principais do enfermeiro especialista a
educação nutricional, o incentivo à atividade física ajustada, o suporte emocional e a articulação
beneficiem a saúde da pessoa a longo prazo.
This internship report aims to reflect on the formative journey undertaken toward the development and acquisition of competencies as a Midwife and the attainment of a master's degree. Weight gain management during pregnancy plays a crucial role in maternal and fetal health, standing out as a fundamental strategy to prevent complications such as postpartum obesity. The Midwife, as a facilitator of healthy behaviors, is indispensable in constructing effective interventions and supporting pregnant individuals in adopting healthy lifestyles during the pregnancy-puerperal cycle. To map scientific evidence on the midwife's intervention in weight gain management during pregnancy, with an emphasis on postpartum obesity prevention, a Scoping Review was conducted following the Joanna Briggs Institute® guidelines. Additionally, a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive study was performed, utilizing Bardin's content analysis to deepen the understanding of this topic. Based on the review question, "What is the midwife's intervention in weight gain management during pregnancy, with an emphasis on postpartum obesity prevention?", searches were conducted on PubMed and EBSCO HOST: Medline Complete, CINAHL, Nursing & Allied Health Collection, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, resulting in the inclusion of nine articles. The main interventions identified were nutritional education, encouragement of tailored physical activity, emotional support, and multidisciplinary collaboration to empower pregnant individuals in managing weight gain and adopting healthy lifestyles. It was concluded that midwives play a central role not only in weight gain management but also in raising awareness and providing continuous education for professionals to promote evidence based practice. The importance of fostering personalized and sustainable interventions that benefit individuals long-term health is emphasized.
