O presente relatório resulta do estágio desenvolvido como Coordenador do Departamento de Observação e Análise no Polo Estádio Universitário Lisboa (EUL) assim como treinador adjunto/analista na equipa Sub-13 do Sporting Clube de Portugal, tendo como objetivo principal compreender e refletir sobre o processo formativo e competitivo no primeiro ano de transição para o formato de futebol de 11. Este contexto apresenta múltiplos desafios, uma vez que aumenta exponencialmente a complexidade do jogo ao nível do número de jogadores, do espaço, do tempo de ação e das exigências físicas, técnicas e táticas, agravados pelas diferenças maturacionais próprias da faixa etária. A intervenção centrou-se na análise empírica de duas etapas determinantes do jogo: a construção ofensiva, procurando formas de desbloquear a pressão adversária, e o equilíbrio defensivo, tentando condicionar a saída de bola do oponente. Estas formas de atuação respeitaram sempre a liberdade dos jogadores em interpretar, decidir e executar em todos os momentos, mas sustentaram-se em ideias e princípios estruturantes do modelo de jogo da equipa. O objetivo fundamental consistiu em refletir e documentar um modelo de jogo com base em situações reais de competição, capazes de prever cenários do jogo e de apoiar o planeamento e a operacionalização em contexto competitivo. Paralelamente, este processo contribuiu também para o objetivo pessoal do estágio, permitindo experienciar e aprofundar o conhecimento sobre o formato formal do futebol. Em termos conclusivos, o estágio evidenciou que a observação e análise aplicada a etapas críticas do jogo constitui uma ferramenta essencial para aumentar o conhecimento do jogo e que permite estruturar ideias que podem facilitar os jogadores a encontrar soluções para os problemas que os adversários colocam. Através dela, tornou-se possível potenciar a aprendizagem individual e coletiva, reforçando a importância de um modelo de jogo orientador que respeite a criatividade e a tomada de decisão dos jogadores, ao mesmo tempo que serve de suporte ao desenvolvimento profissional do estagiário.
This report results from the internship carried out within the Department of Observation and Analysis and with the Under-13 team of Sporting Clube de Portugal. Its main purpose was to understand and reflect on the formative and competitive process during the first year of transition to the 11-a-side football format. This context presents multiple challenges, as the complexity of the game increases exponentially in terms of the number of players, space, action time, and physical, technical, and tactical demands, compounded by the maturational differences typical of this age group. The intervention focused on the empirical analysis of two key stages of the game: offensive construction, seeking to identify ways of overcoming opponent pressure, and defensive pressing, aiming to constrain the opponent’s build-up play. These approaches always respected the players’ freedom to interpret, decide, and execute in every moment, while being supported by ideas and structural principles of the team’s game model. The fundamental objective was to reflect on and document a game model based on real competition situations, capable of anticipating game scenarios and supporting planning and operationalization in competitive contexts. At the same time, this process contributed to the personal objective of the internship, by enabling the experience and deepening of knowledge regarding the formal format of the game. In conclusion, the internship showed that observation and analysis applied to critical stages of the game are essential tools for deepening game knowledge and structuring ideas that support players in finding solutions to the problems posed by opponents. Through this approach, it was possible to enhance both individual and collective learning, reinforcing the importance of a guiding game model that respects players’ creativity and decision-making, while also contributing to the professional development of the intern.
