Abstract(s)
O envelhecimento populacional e o aumento da dependência física exigem cuidados prolongados, frequentemente assumidos por cuidadores informais, o que releva a sua importância. No contexto de Unidades de Cuidados na Comunidade, identificou-se uma fraca divulgação do Estatuto do Cuidador Informal, legitimada com a realização de um Focus Group, que permitiu compreender o domínio e perspetiva dos enfermeiros acerca do tema, validando as respetivas competências e identificando as principais dificuldades e obstáculos.
Foi desenvolvida uma Scoping Review que fundamentou teoricamente o projeto de intervenção, cujo principal objetivo consistiu em capacitar os enfermeiros para a implementação e divulgação do referido estatuto. Foram concretizadas estratégias e instrumentos de apoio, nomeadamente sessões educativas e materiais didáticos, tais como e-books e manuais. O projeto teve impacto positivo, realçando o papel do enfermeiro na promoção da literacia e na coordenação de iniciativas que valorizem os cuidadores informais e melhorem a equidade nos cuidados
Population ageing and increased physical dependence require long-term care, often undertaken by informal carers, which highlights its importance. In the context of Community Care Units, there was poor dissemination of the Informal Carer Statute, which was legitimised by the holding of a Focus Group, which allowed us to understand the nurses' knowledge and perspective on the subject, validating their respective skills and identifying the main difficulties and obstacles. A Scoping Review was carried out to theoretically support the intervention project, whose main objective was to train nurses to implement and disseminate the aforementioned statute. Support strategies and instruments were implemented, namely educational sessions and teaching materials, such as e-books and manuals. The project had a positive impact, highlighting the role of nurses in promoting literacy and coordinating initiatives that value informal carers and improve equity in care.
