(IPAQ), Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), Satisfaction with Life Scale
(SWLS).
Abstract The main goal of this study was to analyse the correlation between exercise and wellbeing in the elderly. In the present study there were 58 subjects (n=58) from both genres (12 male and 46 female) with ages between 60 and 78 years old (m=66,54; SD=5), from which 47 had regular physical activity and 11 did not practice any exercise. As measuring instruments we used the portuguese versions of Physical Activity International Questionnaire, Positive and Negative Affect Schedule, Satisfaction with Life Scale. Through the data obtained we concluded that there wasn’t a statistically significante correlation between exercise and subjective weel-being (satisfaction with life and positive affects). However many authors believe that the practice of physical activity positively influences the way the elderly faces life.
