Não há forma de nos relacionarmos sem comunicarmos. A comunicação é a base da relação
terapêutica e surge como um poderoso instrumento de cuidado, capaz de promover uma relação
de confiança entre o Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica e a
parturiente, especialmente num momento tão vulnerável e único na vida de uma mulher, como é
o do trabalho de parto e parto.
O presente relatório tem como objetivo geral refletir sobre as atividades desenvolvidas nos
diferentes contextos de estágio, que permitiram a aquisição de competências específicas de
Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna Obstétrica e de Mestre.
De modo a mapear a evidência científica acerca da influência da comunicação no trabalho de parto
e parto, foi realizada uma Scoping Review, segundo as orientações do Joanna Briggs Institute,
partindo da questão de revisão “Qual a influência da comunicação entre o Enfermeiro Especialista
em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica e a parturiente, durante o trabalho de parto e
parto?”, recorrendo às plataformas EBSCOHost, PubMed e Scielo Brasil, da qual resultaram quatro
artigos. Metodologicamente, optou-se por realizar um estudo retrospectivo, de abordagem mista,
também com o objetivo de compreender qual a influência da comunicação estabelecida estre o
Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica e a parturiente, durante o
seu trabalho de parto e parto.
Os resultados obtidos apontam para a necessidade de aperfeiçoar competências comunicacionais
verbais e não verbais, já que o modo como comunicamos influencia, diretamente, o envolvimento
da mulher no seu próprio processo, a forma como o trabalho de parto e parto se desenvolve e como
é experienciado pela mulher.
Este trabalho foi norteado pelo referencial teórico da Teoria do Cuidar, de Kristen Swanson.
There is no way of relating without communicating. Communication is the basis of the therapeutic relationship and emerges as a powerful instrument of care, capable of promote a relationship of trust between the midwife and the parturient woman, especially during a vulnerable and unique moment in a woman's life, such as labor and childbirth. The general aim of this report is to reflect on the activities developed in the different internship contexts, which allowed the acquisition of specific competences of a Nurse Specialist in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing. In order to map the scientific evidence on the influence of communication on labor and childbirth, a Scoping Review was carried out, following the guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute, starting with the review question “What is the influence of communication between midwife and the parturient, during labor and childbirth?”, using the EBSCOHost, PubMed and Scielo Brasil platforms, which resulted in four articles. Methodologically, we decided to carry out a retrospective study with a mixed-methods approach, with the aim of understanding the influence of communication between midwife and women, during labor and childbirth. The results point to the need to improve verbal and non-verbal communication skills, since the way we communicate directly influences the woman's involvement in her own process, the way labor and childbirth develops and how it is experienced by women. This was guided by the theoretical framework of Kristen Swanson's Caring Theory
