Abstract(s)
A educação STEAM tem ganho relevância na formação inicial de professores de Matemática e de Ciências do 2.º CEB. Contudo, por vezes é difícil para os futuros professores relacionar as diferentes áreas STEAM. Neste artigo apresenta-se a percepção de futuras professoras relativamente a relações entre as áreas STEAM, a partir do trabalho que realizaram na proposta designada “Origami STEAM”. Constatou-se que o origami constituiu um objeto pertinente de integração entre as diferentes áreas STEAM. Isso revelou-se uma mais-valia para as futuras professoras compreenderem as oportunidades de relação entre essas áreas e reforçarem a aprendizagem dos conceitos explorados, de modo integrado.
STEAM education has gained relevance in the initial mathematics and science teacher’ education for elementary schools. However, sometimes is difficult for fu ture teachers to relate the different STEAM areas. This paper presents the perception of future teachers regarding the relationships between the STEAM areas, based on the work they did in the activity "Origami STEAM". Results show that origami was a relevant object of integration between science and mathematics, and an added value for future teachers to understand the opportunities for relationships between the STEAM areas.
