Abstract(s)
A presente investigação tem como objetivo ilustrar o Fundraising como estratégia de financiamento em
Instituições Particulares de Solidariedade Social (IPSS). A pertinência desta temática, justifica-se uma vez que
os apoios estatais concedidos e as verbas provenientes dos seus utentes, per si, não garantem a sustentabilidade financeira destas instituições. A investigação foi realizada, com recurso a inquéritos por
questionário efetuados aos representantes de IPSS situadas na região Centro de Portugal e à análise dos seus Relatórios de Atividades e Contas, referentes ao período 2014 a 2022. Os resultados amostrais revelam que nas IPSS´s existe Fundraising, o que se traduz num impacto positivo nos seus resultados, pese embora não possuíam um fundraiser a tempo inteiro. Face ao exposto, é possível afirmar que o Fundraising é uma estratégia viável a considerar para fazer face às dificuldades financeiras vividas nas IPSS.
The aim of this research is to illustrate fundraising as a financing strategy for Private Social Solidarity Institutions (PSSI). The relevance of this topic is justified since the state support granted and the funds from their users, per se, do not guarantee the financial sustainability of these institutions. The research was carried out using questionnaire surveys of PSSI representatives located in the Central region of Portugal and an analysis of their Activity Reports and Accounts for the period between 2014 to 2022. The sample results show that PSSI have fundraising, which has a positive impact on their results, even though they don't have a full-time fundraiser. In view of the above, it can be said that fundraising is a viable strategy to consider in order to deal with the financial difficulties experienced by PSSI.
