Abstract(s)
As
In order to develop in future preschool educators and primary teachers’ interest in science, was implemented in chemistry classes an activity on the subject of forensic science, using an inquiry and argumentative approach. This didactic proposal comprised three stages. The first involved the search for information on the Internet, production and editing of documents, the use of different communication tools, the collection of images and the creation of videos and websites. The second consists in carrying out laboratory work. The activity ends with a debate entitled "trial", in which students take on different roles. Students showed some difficulties in carrying out tasks, especially when it comes to cooperate with colleagues, understanding the assignments, select the information and in the lack of knowledge. The teacher also identified some problems during the implementation of the activity and that have contributed to aggravate the difficulties experienced by students. However, most students make a positive assessment of the activity, enhancing their contribution to the development of knowledge and scientific processes and, above all, to promote greater interest in science. However, most students make positive remarks about the activity, which have contributed to the development of their knowledge and, above all, to promote greater interest in science.
