A reabilitação respiratória em contexto comunitário assume particular importância para pes-soas com alterações respiratórias, permitindo ganhos na autonomia e na qualidade de vida. Este trabalho teve como objetivo analisar o contributo do enfermeiro de reabilitação para a promoção da autonomia em pessoas com alterações respiratórias, articulando a evidência científica existente com a experiência prática desenvolvida enquanto estudante. Foi reali-zada uma revisão sistemática da literatura sobre a temática, complementada pela reflexão crítica das intervenções realizadas em contexto clínico. A prática desenvolvida corroborou esses resultados, ainda que se tenham identificado desafios relacionados com os recursos disponíveis e a continuidade dos programas comunitários. Conclui-se que a integração da evidência com a prática não só reforça a compreensão do papel do enfermeiro de reabili-tação, como também evidencia a necessidade de investir na expansão e sustentabilidade da reabilitação respiratória em contexto comunitário.
Community-based pulmonary rehabilitation is of particular importance for people with res-piratory conditions, as it enables gains in autonomy and quality of life. The purpose of this work was to analyse the contribution of the rehabilitation nurse to the promotion of auton-omy in people with respiratory conditions, combining the available scientific evidence with the practical experience developed as a student. A systematic review of the literature on the subject was carried out, complemented by a critical reflection on the interventions im-plemented in a clinical setting. The practice developed corroborated the findings, although challenges were identified regarding available resources and the continuity of community programmes. It is concluded that the integration of evidence with practice not only strength-ens the understanding of the rehabilitation nurse’s role, but also highlights the need to invest in the expansion and sustainability of community-based pulmonary rehabilitation.
