Abstract(s)
O desporto é um fenómeno social que interage com os sistemas que compõem a vida
moderna. Sendo as autarquias locais órgãos imprescindíveis para promover o
desenvolvimento desportivo, este estudo tem como principal propósito (i) identificar os
objetivos das políticas desportivas do Município de Rio Maior e (ii) Avaliar a perceção
da população residente no concelho de Rio Maior relativamente às Políticas Desportivas
do Município de Rio Maior.
O universo de análise deste estudo abrange o Município de Rio Maior, nomeadamente
o responsável político da temática em análise e a população residente no concelho.
A nível metodológico, recorreu-se a uma entrevista ao responsável político do concelho
de Rio Maior, questionando as medidas adotadas e os objetivos das políticas municipais
aplicadas nas diversas áreas e seguidamente a aplicação de um questionário à
população residente em Rio Maior. Os resultados demonstram que nas diversas
variáveis analisadas existe convergência entre o referido pelo responsável político da
temática em análise e a população residente no concelho.
As principais conclusões do estudo, indiciam que o Município de Rio Maior cumpre
aquilo que são as suas responsabilidades em matéria de Desporto e Atividade Física,
nomeadamente no apoio a atividades desportivas, realização de espetáculos
desportivos, assim como na gestão, conservação e reparação de equipamentos
desportivos.
Sport is a social phenomenon that interacts with the systems that make up modern life. Since local authorities are essential bodies to promote sports development, this study has the main objective of (i) Identifying the objectives of sports policies in the Municipality of Rio Maior and (ii) Evaluating the perception of the population residing in the municipality of Rio Maior regarding Policies Sports in the Municipality of Rio Maior. The universe of analysis of this study covers the Municipality of Rio Maior, namely the political responsible for the subject under analysis and the population residing in the municipality. At a methodological level, an interview with the political leader of the municipality of Rio Maior was used, questioning the measures adopted and the objectives of the municipal policies applied in the different areas and then the application of a service to the population residing in Rio Maior. The results showed that in the various variables conducted there is convergence between what was referred by the political responsible for the subject under analysis and the population residing in the municipality. The main principles of the study indicate that the Municipality of Rio Maior fulfills its responsibilities in terms of Sport and Physical Activity, namely in supporting sports activities, hosting sports shows, as well as in the management, conservation and reception of sports equipment .
