Abstract(s)
The industry of crisp processing intends quality product with high industrial yield. For that it is fundamental to make a rational and balanced fertilization plan, respecting the environment, increasing the productive potential of the plants. This work presents the results of the evaluation of the effect of different doses of potassium under commercial conditions of cultivation, applied in the form of a commercial fertilizer in the production and quality of frying of the industry "VR 808" potato variety. Two experimental fields were installed in 2015 and 2016, respectively, in a sandy soil, in Marinhais, Salvaterra de Magos. The monofactorial trial was conducted according to an experimental design in totally random fields, considering a total of 4 repetitions by treatment and a total area of 520 m2. Potassium was applied in five treatments: K0-0 Kg/ha, K1-100 Kg/ha, K2-200 Kg/ha, K3 -300 Kg/ha e K4 -400 Kg/ha expressed as K2O. The treatments were applied immediately after planting, in the form of sulfate (K2SO4), using commercial fertilizer "PatentKali®". Were evaluated the effect of the treatments on the commercial production, the caliber and the quality parameters of the tubers, particularly the dry matter content, external and internal defects. In the year 2015, the effect of the treatments was observed, with a response to the application of K2O in the form of "PatentKali®". In the year 2016, there were no statistically significant differences between treatments. From the analysis carried out in the 2016 trial, although there is a favorable response to potassium application in the number of ≥60mm tubers size, it was not possible to conclude that there was an effect of treatments at this parameter level. In the year 2016, there were significant differences between treatments (K1 and the others) in relation to calcium contents in the dry matter of the leaf and tubers.
