Como se entrelaçam a educação e o emprego? contributo da investigação sobre licenciados, mestres e doutores

As transições entre ensino superior e esfera da profissão têm assumido nos
últimos anos uma visibilidade social crescente, sublinhando-se as dificuldades de
acesso ao emprego por parte dos diplomados de ensino superior. Neste artigo,
procura-se explicitar a natureza destas dificuldades sentidas pelos diplomados ao
longo dos seus percursos, bem como se tenta clarificar as razões que estão na origem
da crescente visibilidade desta temática. Para tal, após uma breve análise sóciohistórica
sobre a emergência do campo de investigação centrado nas relações entre
sistema educativo e trabalho/emprego, identificam-se e caracterizam-se um conjunto
de perspectivas teóricas fundamentais neste domínio de pesquisa. Num segundo
momento, reunem-se alguns contributos de duas investigações sobre diplomados de
ensino superior por nós realizadas, recorrendo aos resultados de dois inquéritos por
questionário que permitem caracterizar os percursos académicos e profissionais de
licenciados, mestres e doutores. - In the latest years, transitions from higher education into professional
environment have been taking a growing social visibility, and difficulties in employment
access by higher education graduates are highlighted. In this paper, the nature of such
difficulty felt by graduates in the course of their professional pathways will be
developed, as well as the reasons that give rise to the growing visibility of this thematic.
For so doing, after a brief socio-historical analysis of the emergence of this research field, centred on the relationships between education system and work/employment, a
set of fundamental theoretical perspectives in this research domain are both identified
and characterised. In a second moment, some contributions are gathered from two
investigations we have carried out on higher education graduates, taking into account
the results of two questionnaires that enable us to characterise the academic and
professional paths of graduates, masters and doctors.
