Este relatório de estágio integra o percurso formativo realizado no âmbito do Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem de Saúde Materna e Obstétrica, com o intuito de documentar o desenvolvimento de competências específicas e refletir sobre a prática nos diversos contextos, focando-se essencialmente na promoção da vivência da sexualidade na gravidez de forma plena e informada. Objetivo: O relatório de estágio desenvolvido visa compreender a forma como as mulheres vivenciam a sexualidade na gravidez. Metodologia: A metodologia utilizada incluiu uma Scoping Review e um estudo quantitativo com recurso a um questionário. A Scoping Review foi realizada com base nos critérios Joanna Briggs Institute, sendo pesquisados artigos dos últimos dois anos, nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol nas bases de dados MEDLINE Complete, CIHANL Complete e Cochrane. O questionário utilizado foi o “Questionário da Sexualidade na Gestação”, enquanto instrumento validado e adequado para o estudo. A discussão sobre a temática emergiu da análise dos dados obtidos de ambos os instrumentos mencionados, onde se destaca a carência de apoio especializado por parte dos profissionais de saúde. Resultados: Verificou-se uma necessidade urgente dos Enfermeiros Obstetras assumirem um papel mais ativo na promoção da sexualidade saudável e integrada nos cuidados. Conclusão: Apesar de ser considerada uma necessidade humana fulcral na saúde feminina, a sexualidade é frequentemente desvalorizada, com implicações significativas para o bem-estar, exigindo uma intervenção urgente. O relatório reforça a importância de uma abordagem humanizada, baseada em evidências e promovendo a discussão e contribuição científica na área sexual.
internship report is part of the training programme carried out within the scope of the Master's Degree in Maternal and Obstetric Health Nursing, with the aim of documenting the development of specific skills and reflecting on practice in different contexts, focusing essentially on promoting the experience of sexuality during pregnancy. Objective: The internship report developed aims to understand how women experience sexuality during pregnancy. Methodology: The methodology used included a Scoping Review and a quantitative study using a questionnaire. The Scoping Review was conducted based on Joanna Briggs Institute criteria, searching articles from the last two years in Portuguese, English, and Spanish in the MEDLINE Complete, CIHANL Complete, and Cochrane databases. The questionnaire used was the “Questionnaire on Sexuality during Pregnancy”, a validated instrument suitable for study. The discussion on the topic emerged from the analysis of the data obtained from both instruments mentioned, highlighting the lack of specialised support from health professionals. Results: There was an urgent need for obstetric nurses to take a more active role in promoting healthy sexuality and integrating it into care. Conclusion: Despite being considered a core human need in women's health, sexuality is often undervalued, with significant implications for well-being, requiring urgent intervention. The report reinforces the importance of a humanised, evidence-based approach that promotes discussion and scientific contribution in the area of sexuality.
