dentro quanto fora do ambiente escolar?
The present study, entitled “Strategies Adopted by Educators to Implement Artistic Literacy”, arises from my interest in the artistic field and from observations made during my undergraduate teaching internships, particularly regarding the limited integration of the arts in educators’ annual activity plans. This reality prompted a reflection on the undervaluation of artistic literacy in the educational context, despite its fundamental role in child development by offering children an essential means of expression, experimentation, and discovery of the world around them. In light of this context, this research aims to explore the strategies that educators use to implement artistic literacy in the preschool setting. It is guided by the following questions: What is the impact and what are the benefits of contact with art, both inside and outside the school environment? How can educators connect field trips with the work carried out in the classroom? How can educational institutions promote the integration of artistic literacy in learning plans, engaging and meaningfully stimulating children? By addressing these questions, the study aims to contribute to the appreciation of the arts in early childhood education, highlighting the essential role of the educator in promoting artistic literacy. The research seeks to demonstrate how art can enrich children's educational journeys, providing them with sensory, aesthetic, and reflective experiences that foster the development of creativity, sensitivity, and critical thinking. Thus, it is hoped that the results of this research will not only broaden the understanding of the importance of artistic literacy but also inspire pedagogical practices that integrate the arts more effectively into the daily school routine, benefiting the integral development of children.
