O terceiro capitulo
descreve a componente investigativa, sendo apresentados os objetivos; a metodologia;
This research study is part of the curricular unit of Investigation of the Supervised Teaching Practice of the Master's Degree in Pre-School Education and Teaching at the Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico de Santarém. This investigative report took place during three stages, one in the context of Day Care and two in the context of Kindergarten. In this investigative study, we intended to study the benefits of playing outdoors as well as the impact that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on children's lives during their outdoor play. This study is divided into four chapters, the first of which is about the Initiation of Professional Practice of the three stages. The second chapter is the theoretical framework, which tells us what outdoor play is about; what is the importance of playing outdoors in the child's development and learning; what is the role of adults as a promoter of outdoor play and the impact of Covid-19 on outdoor play. The third chapter describes the investigative component, presenting the objectives; the methodology; methods and procedures for data collection; the literature review; field notes and discussion of results. In the fourth and last chapter are the final considerations that include the conclusion and the final reflection. With regard to the investigative component, a literature review was carried out in order to know and understand the benefits of playing outdoors in contact with nature. This literature review was carried out based on internship reports with an investigative component and scientific articles available in an open repository. Also in the investigative component, field notes were analyzed with three situations observed and experienced during the internships, in order to understand how Covid-19 had an impact on outdoor play, in the context of kindergarten.
