This report reflects the journey undertaken within the scope of the curricular internship of the Master's Degree in Sports Coaching, developed at Centro Recreativo Popular da Ribafria, where the intervention focused on the Junior Female (Under-19) team competing in the National Championship. The main objective of the internship was the comprehensive development of the athletes and the consolidation of the intern's professional skills. On the research side, the study analyzed and compared the evolution of shooting technical skill and lower limb power between junior and senior athletes throughout the sports season. The methodology followed a longitudinal design with a sample of 30 athletes, who were evaluated using the MFST and the CMJ at five distinct moments, with statistical analysis performed using a Linear Mixed Model. The results demonstrated that senior athletes presented significantly higher values in the CMJ (27.23 cm compared to 24.18 cm in juniors) and in the MFST, both for the dominant limb (1.50 vs. 1.04 points) and the non-dominant limb (1.21 vs. 0.84 points). A significant interaction was also observed in the CMJ (p < 0.001), where seniors exhibited a drop in performance in the final evaluation (25.65 cm), coinciding with a decrease in non-dominant limb shooting accuracy, while the dominant limb shot remained stable throughout the season. It is concluded that the internship constituted an opportunity to consolidate professional skills in a real training and competition context.
