Abstract(s)
Numa sociedade em que a educação está a tornar-se mais imersiva e a fomentar
experiências de aprendizagem onde o estudante tem um papel mais ativo, a Realidade
Aumentada (RA) e as Interfaces Naturais (IN) são vistas como metodologias
promissoras em contexto de sala de aula. Contudo, estas tecnologias são dispendiosas
e algo complexas do ponto de vista técnico. Neste artigo apresentamos o projeto
VisualYzArt e a plataforma YVision.
O projeto VisualYzArt pretende estudar e validar a aplicação da plataforma YVision em
diversos domínios, tais como as artes digitais, o design, a educação, a cultura e o lazer.
Esta plataforma tem como objetivo trazer a RA e as IN para o público em geral,
possibilitando especificar, desenhar e programar estes sistemas de uma forma gráfica.
Apresentamos ainda o papel do Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, que se enquadra no
domínio da educação. Analisam-se dados recolhidos sobre a utilização da plataforma
YVision, tendo em conta a perceção e as reflecções de participantes, recolhidas através
de questionário, após testagem dos componentes disponíveis na plataforma.
In a society where education is changing to become more immersive and fostering more active learning experiences, Augmented Reality (AR) and Natural User Interfaces (NUI) are viewed as promising methodologies to use in a classroom. However, these technologies are expensive and often technically complex to work with. In this paper we present the VisualYzARt project and the role that YVision platform can play in bringing AR and NUI into educational context. VisualYzARt aims to study and validate the adequacy of YVision platform in various fields of activity, such as digital arts, design, education, culture and leisure. This platform intents to bring augmented reality and natural user interfaces to the general public, by making possible to specify, draw and program these systems in a graphical manner. We present the role of the Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, which falls into the educational field and we analyze the data, collected with a questionnaire, related with the participants’ perception and insights about the YVision platform, after testing the components available in the platform.
