Este estudo teve como objetivo principal promover a literacia matemática e o desenvolvimento de competências digitais em alunos do 9.º ano de escolaridade de uma escola Básica e Secundária, através da apresentação de situações reais de aplicação prática. Para tal, recorreu-se à utilização da plataforma MILAGE Aprender+ 2.0 em Desafios Inovadores Mensais de Matemática, implementados num agrupamento de escolas em Portugal.
A investigação adotou o formato de estudo de caso, realizada ao longo do ano letivo de 2023/2024. A recolha de dados foi efetuada através de um inquérito por questionário, administrado via Google Forms a alunos de duas turmas sob a responsabilidade da investigadora. Os dados foram recolhidos em dois momentos – pré e pós-implementação dos desafios – e analisados estatisticamente. Os resultados evidenciam que a utilização dos desafios inovadores contribui significativamente para o aumento da interação interpessoal, da participação ativa dos alunos e do interesse na procura por novos conhecimentos.
Os desafios desenvolvidos abordam conteúdos matemáticos integrados com o uso sistemático de tecnologia em sala de aula, apresentando-se de forma diversificada e alinhados com os objetivos das Aprendizagens Essenciais. Estes desafios são, ainda, ajustados e reformulados de forma contínua, de modo a garantir a sua pertinência e eficácia pedagógica.
Este estudo sublinha a relevância de práticas pedagógicas inovadoras que promovem uma aprendizagem ativa e contextualizada, potenciando o desenvolvimento integral dos estudantes através da utilização da tecnologia.
This study aimed to promote mathematical literacy and the development of digital competencies among 9th-grade students by presenting real-life application scenarios. To achieve this, the MILAGE Aprender+ 2.0 platform was utilized in Monthly Innovative Mathematics Challenges, implemented in a school cluster in Portugal. The research adopted a case study design and was conducted during the 2023/2024 academic year. Data was collected through a questionnaire survey administered via Google Forms to students from two classes under the researcher’s supervision. Data were gathered at two points—before and after the implementation of the challenges—and were statistically analyzed. The results indicate that the use of innovative challenges significantly enhances interpersonal interaction, active student participation, and the pursuit of new knowledge. The challenges developed address mathematical topics systematically integrated with technology use in the classroom. They are diverse, aligned with the objectives of the Essential Learning Standards, and are continuously adjusted and reformulated to ensure their relevance and pedagogical effectiveness. This study highlights the importance of innovative teaching practices that promote active and contextualized learning, fostering students' comprehensive development.
