O envelhecimento da população e as mudanças nos padrões familiares têm aumentado a procura por cuidados especializados, reforçando a importância das
Instituições Particulares de Solidariedade Social (IPSS) no apoio a idosos.
A desmotivação dos cuidadores, frequentemente causada pela sobrecarga de trabalho e falta de reconhecimento, afeta diretamente a qualidade dos cuidados prestados.
O projeto "Cuidar de Quem Cuida" visa promover a motivação e o bem-estar dos
cuidadores formais em três IPSS do concelho de Rio Maior.
Este projeto, alicerçado nos princípios da Gestão de Organizações de Economia Social, procura criar um ambiente de trabalho mais saudável e sustentável para os cuidadores, através de estratégias inovadoras, com foco no desenvolvimento de competências, apoio psicológico e físico e valorização profissional. Indiretamente, procura melhorar a qualidade de vida dos idosos, contribuindo para a construção de organizações mais eficientes e humanizadas.
The aging population and changes in family structures have increased the demand for specialized care, highlighting the importance of Private Institutions of Social Solidarity (IPSS) in supporting the elderly. Caregivers' demotivation, often caused by work overload and lack of recognition, directly affects the quality of care provided. The "Caring for Those Who Care" project aims to promote the motivation and well-being of formal caregivers in three IPSS in the municipality of Rio Maior. This project, grounded in the principles of Social Economy Organizations Management, seeks to create a healthier and more sustainable work environment for caregivers through innovative strategies focused on skill development, psychological and physical support, and professional appreciation. Indirectly, it aims to improve the quality of life of the elderly, contributing to the creation of more efficient and humanized organizations.
