Esta dissertação de Mestrado em Educação Social e Intervenção Comunitária, do
Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, refere-se a uma pesquisa sobre evasão escolar, que
objetivou identificar e problematizar os principais fatores de influência nos processos de
abandono e de permanência escolar de estudantes em cursos Técnicos Subsequentes de
Nível Médio (Técnicos de Eventos, de Informática e de Serviços Públicos) do Campus
Brasília, do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Brasília – IFB. A
pesquisa é essencialmente qualitativa e apresenta metodologia mista, com a utilização
de questionários semiestruturados e entrevistas semidiretivas aplicados a estudantes
concluintes e evadidos dos cursos estudados. Nos resultados percebeu-se que fatores
internos e externos ao estudante o influenciam mutuamente no processo de evadir e de
permanecer, sendo o que determina a saída do estudante é a forma com que ele reage às
circunstâncias adversas, sua capacidade de persistência e de adaptação a elas.
This Master's thesis in Social Education and Community Intervention, the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, refers to research on truancy, which aimed to identify and discuss the main factors to influence the processes of abandonment and school residence of students in Technical courses Subsequent Medium Level (Event Technical, Information Technology and Public Services) Campus Brasilia, the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Brasilia - IFB. The search is essentially qualitative and displays mixed methodology, using questionnaires and semi-directive semistructured interviews applied to graduating students and dropouts of the courses studied. The results it was noted that internal and external factors to the student the influence each other in the process of escape and to stay, and what determines the student's way out is the way it reacts to adverse circumstances, its persistence capacity and adaptation to they.
