This internship report consists of two parts: part I reports on all internship contexts, nursery school, kindergarten, and 1st CEB, and part II relates to the research component. The latter aims to identify the importance of the organisation of the educational environment in children's learning, based on a pilot study in a pre-school education context and developed in the 1st cycle of Basic Education, in 2nd and 4th year classes. Its objectives are: (i) to understand the organisation of the educational environment in the 1st cycle; (ii) to verify the importance attributed by teachers to the educational space; and (iii) to analyse children's involvement in the organisation of the environment and its impact on learning. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, field notes and photographic records. The results reveal that an intentionally organised educational environment promotes children's autonomy, involvement and well-being, enhancing meaningful learning and a greater sense of belonging to the school space.
