Abstract(s)
Com este texto, para alรฉm de estimular o diรกlogo, pretendeu-se desenvolver uma
investigaรงรฃo sobre os trabalhos para casa, vulgo TPC. Houve que definir objectivos e
percorrer vรกrias etapas. No que concerne aos objectivos, procurou-se compreender
em que consistem na prรกtica os TPC atravรฉs das perspectivas dos diferentes actores
sociais (professores, pais/encarregados de educaรงรฃo (EEs), alunos, ATL, explicadoras
e ama) e que tipos de relaรงรตes existem face ร sua dinรขmica.
Em relaรงรฃo ร s etapas, abordaram-se conceitos, passou-se em revista vรกrias
teorias; dirigiu-se um breve olhar sobre a recente reorganizaรงรฃo curricular; falou-se de
estudos publicados; escutou-se os diferentes actores; analisaram-se alguns
documentos e confrontaram-se dados.
No que diz respeito ร metodologia que orientou o estudo situรกmo-nos no
paradigma de investigaรงรฃo qualitativa, optando pelo formato de estudo de caso, com
recurso a entrevista, questionรกrio e anรกlise documental.
O trabalho decorreu no distrito de Santarรฉm, numa escola pรบblica do 1.ยบ ciclo
sendo a populaรงรฃo constituรญda por 4 docentes da EB1 da Luz, 94 alunos, 88 pais/EEs,
2 docentes do ATL, 2 explicadoras e 1 ama.
Ao longo deste estudo foi possรญvel verificar: a) que nรฃo hรก consenso sobre o
valor pedagรณgico dos TPC; b) que apenas tรชm o nome de โcasaโ, pois nรฃo sรฃo aรญ
feitos; c) que sacrificam o desenvolvimento de competรชncias em proveito da
assimilaรงรฃo de conhecimentos; d) uma โvigiaโ entre os diversos actores; e)
uniformidade pedagรณgica, com a qual os alunos tรชm o mesmo itinerรกrio cognitivo; f) a
prรกtica de cรณpias, palavras difรญceis, verbos, contas, tabuadas e reduรงรตes. - With this text, besides stimulating dialogue, there was an intention to develop an
investigation about homework (HW). It was necessary to establish objectives and go
through several stages. Concerning the objectives, there was an attempt to understand
what HW consists of in reality, through the perspectives of the different social actors
(teachers, parents/guardians, pupils, Centres of free time activities, tutors and nannies)
and what types of relationships exist in view of their dynamics.
Regarding the stages, concepts were approached, several theories were
reviewed; a brief overview was made of the recent curricular reorganization; published
studies were discussed; the different actors were listened to; some documents were
analysed and data was confronted.
In respect to the methodology that orientated the study we placed ourselves on
the qualitative investigation paradigm, opting for the case study format, resorting to
interviews, questionnaires and documental analysis.
The survey was held in the district of Santarรฉm, in a public 1st cycle elementary
School, the population being constituted by 4 lecturers of Luzโs EB1, 94 pupils, 88
parents/guardians, 2 lecturers from Centres of free time activities, 2 tutors and 1 nanny.
Throughout this study it was possible to verify: a) that there is no agreement
about the pedagogical value of HW; b) that it is called โhomeโ only by name for it is not
done there; c) that it sacrifices the development of skills in profit of the assimilation of
knowledge; d) a โvigilanceโ between the different actors; e) pedagogical uniformity, in
which pupils have the same cognitive itinerary; f) the practice of transcripts, difficult
words, verbs, accounts, times tables and reductions.
