presente relatório de estágio, desenvolvido no âmbito do 2º ano de Mestrado em Educação Social e Intervenção Comunitária, da Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, resulta do estágio curricular realizado na Divisão de Educação e Juventude da Câmara Municipal de Alcobaça (CMA).
O tema do trabalho, e no qual se baseou o estágio realizado, trata-se da inclusão dos alunos migrantes nas escolas de 1º ciclo do município. As pesquisas que suportaram o enquadramento teórico e o diagnóstico realizado, assentam nas trajetórias migratórias e na evolução da presença dos alunos migrantes nas escolas, assim como nas políticas educativas inerentes a esta temática. A metodologia utilizada segue a abordagem qualitativa, tendo como recurso a recolha de dados sobre a rede educativa do município e a realização de entrevistas ao chefe de Divisão de Educação e Juventude da CMA, aos diretores de agrupamento de escolas e professores das escolas de 1º ciclo do concelho de Alcobaça.
De acordo com o diagnóstico e análise de dados realizados, foi possível percecionar quais as principais dificuldades das escolas na inclusão dos alunos migrantes nos seus estabelecimentos. Assim, ao longo do estágio, foi possível experienciar e compreender a relevância do profissional de Educação Social no levantamento de problemas e a elaboração de propostas de intervenção para a resolução e a prevenção dos mesmos.
This internship report, developed as part of the second year of the Master's in Social Education and Community Intervention at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, is the result of a curricular internship carried out at the Division of Education and Youth of the Alcobaça City Council. The theme of the work, which was the focus of the internship, addresses the inclusion of migrant students in primary schools within the municipality. The methodological research that supported the theoretical framework and the diagnosis made is based on migration trajectories and the evolution of the presence of migrant students in schools, as well as the educational policies related to this topic. The methodology used follows a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection about the municipality's educational network and conducting interviews with the head of the Division of Education and Youth of the Alcobaça City Council, school grouping directors, and primary school teachers in the Alcobaça municipality. Based on the diagnosis and data analysis, it was possible to identify the main challenges faced by schools in including migrant students in their institutions. Thus, throughout the internship, it was possible to experience and understand the importance of the Social Education professional in identifying problems and developing intervention proposals to resolve or prevent them.
