Abstract(s)
This report is divided into two distinct parts. The first part outlines the journey of the Supervised Teaching Practice in the 1st and 2nd Cycles of Basic Education, covering the methodologies, activities, and experiences throughout the internships. The second part of the report examines the research into the conceptions of Iberian wolves held by students. The aim of this study was to understand pupils' perceptions and knowledge of the Iberian wolf, a species of great ecological and cultural importance in Portugal. Data was collected using questionnaires applied at two different times (one before the intervention and one afterwards) in order to better assess the students' conceptions of the subject under study. In addition to this investigative mechanism, texts produced by the students about the wolf were also analyzed, thus allowing for a deeper and more comprehensive analysis of the data. The data collected was analysed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The qualitative analysis focused on the content appreciation of the texts produced by the students and the open answers in the questionnaires. The quantitative analysis considered the closed answers to the questionnaires, allowing to assess changes in the students' knowledge and attitudes towards the Iberian wolf. It was possible to conclude, through the research carried out, that the students acquired (greater) scientific knowledge about the Iberian wolf as a result of the educational intervention and the production of creative writing texts.
