| dc.description.abstract | Aquando do nascimento de uma criança, um diagnóstico de deficiência será, seguramente, um momento marcadamente negativo para a família. Fazer-se o luto do bebé idealizado, para que haja um afeiçoamento a este bebé real, será primordial para seguir-se em frente de forma saudável e disponível. A intervenção precoce na infância, assumindo-se como uma intervenção centrada na família, enfatiza a importância crucial do envolvimento desta num trabalho de parceria com os técnicos envolvidos. A família terá que ser entendida, ajudada, valorizada; simultaneamente, terá que ser capacitada e corresponsabilizada, de modo a assumir-se como parte imprescindível no trabalho com a criança. Neste pressuposto, usando-se uma abordagem de natureza qualitativa, tipo de investigação estudo de caso, o presente trabalho pretendeu indagar a importância do envolvimento da família no desenvolvimento de uma criança com hipotonia neonatal. Para tal, foram elaborados dois guiões de entrevista; um direcionado à família e outro às terapeutas que acompanham a criança, de modo a reunirmos a informação que considerámos pertinente. Constatamos, efetivamente, que a família se encontra consciente da importância do seu envolvimento, sendo enfatizada a relevância do trabalho realizado em parceria com as técnicas. As terapeutas, por seu lado, consideraram que o envolvimento da família se revelou fundamental no desenvolvimento da criança e nos progressos alcançados, concluindo ser fulcral que se assuma como um parceiro ativo, num trabalho de colaboração permanente. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | When a child is born, the diagnosis of a disability will be, certainly, a remarkably negative moment for the family. It’s essential the grief for the idealized baby to go forward in a healthy and available way and to develop affection for the real baby. Early Intervention in the Childhood, as a family-centred intervention, emphasizes the crucial importance of the family involvement for the partnership work developed with the involved technicians. The family has to be understood, helped, valued; simultaneously, it has to be enabled and involved so that it’s assumed as an essential part in the work done with the child. Based on this assumption, using a qualitative approach through a case study, the current research work has intended to examine the importance of the family involvement for the development of a child with neonatal hypotony. To this end, we’ve built two interview guides, one directed to the family, and another to the therapists who assist the girl, in order to gather all the information we’ve considered relevant. Effectively, we’ve checked that the family is aware of the importance of their involvement, emphasizing the relevance of the partnership with the technicians. In their turn, the therapists consider that the family involvement has been essential for the child development and for the progress achieved, concluding that it’s crucial that the family is assumed as an active partner in a work of continuous collaboration. | pt_PT |
