Abstract(s)
This study wants to verify if the physical activity affects the interaction speed-accuracy of the computer mouse in electronic sports, through a physical activity questionnaire, and an accuracy test with the computer mouse. The sample consisted of 24 individuals (16 males and 8 females), aged between 15 and 50 years (24.79±9.23 years). It is possible to verify that there are no diferences between groups in terms of sitting time, although there is a significant inverse association between sitting time and AFL and AFM. There are also no significant association between mScore and mEfi, mAcc and mClic. There is also a significant positive association between height and mClic. The number of hours spent playing is inversely and fully associated with mScore, mEfi, mAcc and mClic, but is directly associated with AFV. At a theoretical level, it is possible to verify the existence of a relation between electronic sports and physical activity in terms of the abilities and skills used by an electronic game player, and it is possible to improve these abilities through physical activity in order to obtain a better performance. This study reveals that there aren’t significative differences between groups, but it shows some relevant associations between variables.
