Abstract(s)

Partindo da análise da unidade lexical “bullying”, pretendemos encetar uma breve explanação dos problemas inerentes ao acto de traduzir. Tomamos, assim, numa primeira fase do texto, os contornos significativos que determinadas unidades linguísticas podem assumir no domínio da língua. Posteriormente, problematizaremos o próprio acto de traduzir, na medida em que as supostas incorrecções presentes num texto traduzido podem advir não só de uma não conformidade de significados, mas também de uma não coincidência entre a pragmática, a semântica e a sintaxe. Finalmente, abordaremos a(s) tradução(ões) do termo “bullying” pelo recurso ao Compara. - Departing from the lexical unity bullying, we aim at initiating a brief explanation of the inherent problems of the translation activity. In this context, in a first part of the text, we take the significant configurations that certain linguistic unities may assume in the domain of the language. Later on, we shall try to render problematic the act of translating, in itself, in as much as the supposed inaccuracies of a translated text may not only come from a non conformity of signification, but also from a non coincidence between pragmatic, semantic and syntactic rules. Conclusively, we shall approach the possible translation(s) of the word bullying, using Compara program.
