Abstract(s)

No presente artigo apresentamos e discutimos os resultados de um projecto de investigação-acção servindo como pano de fundo para uma reflexão a partir de dois campos de investigação e de prática principais – a Sociologia e a Educação Social. O objectivo é o de apresentar evidências relativas à intervenção preventiva em contextos de diversão nocturna, junto de frequentadores e staff. Ao mesmo tempo, explorar e clarificar algumas implicações resultantes desta particular articulação interdisciplinar neste campo de intervenção. A referida intervenção foi orientada por dois eixos teóricos, o primeiro referente à prevenção selectiva e prevenção indicada do consumo de substâncias psicoactivas e o segundo, referente aos factores de risco e factores de protecção. E assentou numa abordagem metodológica de investigação-acção com o propósito de ir monitorizando todas as estratégias em função dos dados recolhidos, fazendo ajustes ou correcções sempre que necessário. No final deste percurso podemos constatar a importância do uso de uma metodologia de investigação-acção, adaptada sempre à realidade da intervenção. Bem como, destacar o carácter complementar da interdisciplinaridade assente numa base crítica e reflexiva, que permitiu atingir os objectivos propostos.Abstract In this article we present and discuss the results of an action-research serving as a backdrop for reflection from two fields of research and major practice - Sociology and Social Education. The aim is to present evidence regarding the preventive intervention in nightlife contexts, from their customers and staff. At the same time to explore and to clarify some implications arising from this particular interdisciplinary articulation in this field of intervention. Intervention was guided by two theoretical axes, the first one related to selective and indicated prevention of psychoactive substances consumption and the second one related to the risk factors and the protective factors. In terms of methodology this intervention has followed an action-research approach which allowed checking all the strategies in light of the collected data, making adjustments and corrections when ever necessary. At the end of this process we highlight the importance of using an action-research methodology, always adapted to the intervention’s reality and we stress the complementary nature of interdisciplinary based on a critical and reflective perspective that allowed achieving the proposed goals.
