Abstract(s)
O presente relatório foi elaborado no âmbito do mestrado em educação pré-escolar e ensino
do 1.º ciclo do ensino básico. A oportunidade de realizar estágios em creche, jardim de
infância e em 1.º ciclo do ensino básico enriqueceu o processo de formação inicial, na medida
em que permitiu integrar os diferentes contextos e adquirir novas aprendizagens essenciais a
uma prática pedagógica mais consciente. Para além disso, promoveu a reflexão sobre a
temática em estudo, o mindfulness, que emergiu logo no estágio em creche. O ambiente que
envolve a criança é fundamental para um desenvolvimento harmonioso, assim, quando se
verificou a presença constante do fator stress, tornou-se pertinente aprofundar a abordagem
mindfulness e perceber qual a sua importância nos contextos educativos. Este estudo
exploratório de natureza qualitativa desenvolveu-se em duas etapas: a primeira consistiu no
desenvolvimento de atividades concretas baseadas em mindfulness nos contextos de jardim
de infância e de 1.º ciclo do ensino básico; a segunda, nas entrevistas semidiretivas realizadas
a oito especialistas reconhecidos no âmbito do mindfulness. Este exercício investigativo
sugere que o mindfulness pode ser uma ferramenta importante para as crianças por promover
o autoconhecimento e a autorregulação emocional. Ao cultivar a gentileza, a empatia, a
gratidão e a generosidade contribui-se para a tomada de consciência de uma humanidade
comum. A abordagem mindfulness é importante em contexto educativo pois sensibiliza para
uma visão holística do desenvolvimento da criança.
The following report was elaborated within the scope of the Master’s Degree in Pre and Primary School Education. The opportunity to carry out internships in the context of Pre and Primary School enriched the initial learning process, as it allowed the integration of different contexts and the acquisition of new essential learnings for a more conscious pedagogical practice. Also, it promoted reflection in this field of study, mindfulness, that emerged from the internship at Preschool. The children surrounding environment is fundamental for a harmonious development, thus, when the stress factor was a constant presence, it became relevant to deepen the mindfulness approach and understand it’s importance in educational context. This explorational study of a qualitative nature was developed in two stages: the first consisted in the development of factual mindfulness-based activities in Pre and Primary School contexts; the second, in semi-directive interviews conducted with eight recognized experts in the field of mindfulness. This investigative exercise suggests that mindfulness can be an important tool for children as it promotes self-knowledge and emotional self-regulation. By cultivating kindness, empathy, gratitude and generosity contributing for the awareness of a common humanity. The mindfulness approach is important in educational context as it raises awareness for a holistic view of children development.
