Abstract(s)
A investigação sobre a liderança partilhada é ainda uma área de estudo recente, assim como, o
estudo da liderança do atleta. Contudo, é uma abordagem interessante e inovadora da liderança
dentro de equipas desportivas, concretamente, em equipas de futebol que consideramos poder
trazer indicadores de valor para uma reflexão cuidada e aprofundada sobre a possibilidade da sua
utilização no futebol profissional. Atualmente, a função do treinador de futebol vai muito para além
da forma como treina e coloca os seus atletas a jogar. As questões técnicas, físicas, táticas e
estratégicas são fundamentais, do mesmo modo, que são as questões psicológicas e
comportamentais. Por conseguinte, o objetivo geral do estudo, para além de promover maiores
conhecimentos na área da liderança no Desporto, concretamente no Futebol, pretende analisar e
avaliar a perspetiva de treinadores de elite de futebol masculino e feminino na partilha de
competências de liderança com grupos de atletas, mais concretamente analisar as concessões que
os treinadores têm sobre liderança, identificar e analisar a posição dos treinadores sobre o papel
dos atletas na dinâmica da equipa, e ainda identificar e conhecer a disponibilidade dos treinadores
em partilhar a liderança com Atletas.
O estudo qualitativo compreendeu uma entrevista semiestruturada, recorrendo a questões
primárias, desenvolvidas por Haddad et al., (2021), a oito treinadores de elite que estão no ativo,
sendo quatro no contexto do futebol masculino e quatro no contexto do futebol feminino de elite.
Recorreu-se à técnica de análise de conteúdo (Bardin, 2008), tendo em consideração o objetivo do
estudo. O nosso estudo revelou que os treinadores, embora sensíveis à partilha de liderança pelos
atletas, continuam a adotar uma liderança mais vertical, onde eles próprios são os líderes.
Consideraram a comunicação, honestidade e a influência como as principais caraterísticas para se
ser um bom líder. Definiram as suas formas de liderança, como Contextual, Adaptativa, Flexível.
Para os treinadores entrevistados, a gestão da equipa implica um líder (treinador) que se comporta
em função do contexto e do acontecimento.

The qualitative study comprised a semi-structured interview, using primary questions, developed by Haddad et al., (2021), to eight elite coaches who are active, four in the context of men's football and four in the context of women's football. elite. The content analysis technique was used (Bardin, 2008), taking into account the objective of the study. Our study revealed that coaches, while sensitive to athletes sharing leadership, continue to adopt a more vertical leadership, where they themselves are the leaders. They considered communication, honesty and influence as the main characteristics to be a good leader. They defined their forms of leadership as Contextual, Adaptive, Flexible. For the coaches interviewed, team management implies a leader (coach) who behaves according to the context and the event.
