Abstract(s)
A educação, no Brasil, é um direito constitucional e a consolidação desse direito no
contexto da educação profissional e tecnológica implica promover a democratização do
e caracterizar as estruturas física e organizacional envolvidas.
No Instituto
impactos acadêmicos destacados foram: estar inserido no mundo da pesquisa; ser monitor;
As principais dificuldades
Education in Brazil is a constitutional right and the consolidation of this right in the context of professional and technological education implies promoting the democratization of access and objective conditions for the permanence and success of students. For this, some objective conditions have been created through student assistance, with student residence being one of these forms of assistance. The general objective of this dissertation is to identify the impacts of the offer of student residence for the students contemplated from 2015 to 2018 in Campus Planaltina and for this, it is necessary to contextualize and characterize the physical and organizational structures involved. To achieve the proposed objective, the bibliographic and exploratory researches were adopted, which allowed the realization of the theoretical foundation and the understanding of the research problem. At the Campus Planaltina of Instituto Federal de Brasília, in 2017, a fact was observed that motivated this research in the Master of Science in Education / Educational Administration, where it was observed that of the total students of the last year of the Technical Course in Integrated Farming High School, 50% were residents, that is, one of the classes could be formed solely by resident students - and in the absence of these students, this class would not exist. To identify the impacts generated by the offer of student residence two data collection techniques were used, the first being the Collective interview, with 28 students, and the second, research questionnaires for two profiles, 12 managers and 98 residents or former residents. As a student resident, the students indicated advantages and disadvantages and matured the analysis to later indicate the academic and social impacts. The outstanding academic impacts were: being inserted in the research world; be a monitor; participate in extension projects and learn to have discipline and organization with studies. The social impacts indicated were: develop social skills, how to be more patient, know how to respect cultural, religious and gender differences; have empathy; learn to respect institutional norms and experience a cultural exchange. The main difficulties listed by the residents were the homesickness and the difficulty in living with their colleagues. To this end, the intervention project called “pedagogical sponsorship” is proposed, in which a technical servant or teacher of the campus stands as a reference to a group of students to make them feel more welcomed, valued, safe and happy, thus contributing to the improvement of their school performance, the development of social skills, as well as the dropout rates and prevention of emergence or aggravation of emotional disorders such as stress, anxiety, phobias and depression. After analyzing the impacts listed by the students, the student residence proved, in this context, able to promote the guarantee of the right to education, as well as being part of a network of actions to promote the permanence and success of the students of Campus Planaltina.
