Abstract(s)
cultura do morango.
antagonismo in vitro contra os fungos Fusarium incarnatum e Botrytis cinerea.
This project started in December 2022 and concluded in November 2023. All work was carried out at the Asfertglobal facilities located in Perofilho, Santarém. The objective of this project was to develop plant and bacterial-based bioformulations to assess their effectiveness in controlling Fusarium wilt and gray mold diseases in strawberry cultivation. After formulation, these products underwent stability and aging tests, with the bestperforming ones selected for in vitro antagonism tests against the fungi Fusarium incarnatum and Botrytis cinerea. Following these tests, the formulations were evaluated on plants to assess their efficacy against the mentioned fungi. The results demonstrated that both plant-based and bacterial formulations had potential to inhibit Fusarium incarnatum and Botrytis cinerea fungi. Despite the positive effect of the formulations on disease control, they did not achieve the same level of efficacy as the commercial reference products when applied to infected plants. The bacterial formulation Whole Broth (bacterial cells and excreted metabolites) stood out the most when applied to strawberries, showing results comparable to commercial reference products in terms of disease frequency and severity, as well as the dry weight of infected plants. Nonetheless, all formulations need to be reformulated to be considered viable alternatives to commercial products for controlling these diseases.
