Abstract(s)
subcategorias.
The purpose of this study is to develop and validate an observation system that allows to observe instructional behaviors, of fitness instructors, in group sessions of Pilates activity (SOIIF - PILATES), based on the adaptation of an existing instrument. After being made several methodological procedures, to test the functionality of the instrument, the SOIIF - PILATES demonstrated reliability and viability. It is compose of two dimensions: Moment and Content. It was also carried out a pilot application of the instrument in a sample of 15 Pilates instructors, which allowed to characterize their intervention and compare it in different session phases (warm-up, fundamental phase, stretching) and exercises phases (before, during, after). The most and less conducted instructional behaviors were verified in each session phase and for each exercises phase. There were significant differences between session phases and exercises phases in some categories and subcategories.
