A motivação na aprendizagem da matemática no pré-escolar e no 1.º ciclo

Abstract

O presente relatório foi realizado no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º CEB e visa evidenciar as experiências e aprendizagens adquiridas ao longo de quatro estágios. Este relatório tem duas partes. Na primeira parte são apresentados os contextos de estágio e o percurso de desenvolvimento profissional. A segunda parte foca a componente investigativa sobre a motivação na aprendizagem da matemática em pré-escolar e 1.º ciclo, pretendendo identificar fatores da prática que se revelam importantes para a motivação e que relação entre motivação e aprendizagem se evidencia em crianças destes níveis. O estudo é de natureza qualitativa, na modalidade de estudo de caso, e envolve observação de aula e entrevistas. Os resultados evidenciam a importância do trabalho proposto pela educadora e pela professora, visto que os níveis motivacionais aumentam quando são apresentados novos conteúdos, novos materiais e quando o grau de exigência é adaptado às necessidades das crianças. Por fim, integra uma reflexão sobre o contributo deste trabalho para o meu desenvolvimento profissional.

This report was performed for the curricular unit of the supervised teaching practice of the master degree in kindergarden and “1.º Ciclo” Education and aims at enhancing the experiences and learning acquired during four internships. This report is composed by two parts, the first one develops the different internship contexts and shows my professional evolution. The second part focus on the investigation process on motivation for mathematical learning in kindergarden and “1.º Ciclo” education, aiming to gather the motivational factors from the classroom of kindergarden and “1.º Ciclo” and the motivation and learning differences between kindergarden and “1.º Ciclo” students. This is a qualitative study, in the case study method, and involves class observations and interviews. The results show the importance of the work proposed by the kindergarden teacher and the teacher, as the motivational levels increase when they are presented new content, new materials and when the levels of demand is adapted to the needs of children. In the final part, there is a reflection about the benefit of this study to my professional evolution.
