As histórias para crianças como recurso para o desenvolvimento da linguagem oral em crianças do pré-escolar

Abstract

O presente relatório surge como reflexão da minha Prática Supervisionada ao longo dos vários contextos realizados em Creche e Jardim de Infância, no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar. O tema de investigação foca-se n’ “As histórias para crianças como recurso para o desenvolvimento de linguagem oral em crianças do Pré-Escolar”, em que se cristaliza a necessidade de abordar a importância das histórias para o desenvolvimento da criança, particularmente a linguagem oral, com o intuito de compreender o perfil do educador neste processo. A metodologia utilizada é de investigação-ação, pois os resultados foram obtidos durante a intervenção. O relatório é apresentado em dois segmentos distintos, num primeiro momento, é realizada a descrição dos estágios realizados, bem como das atividades implementadas. O segundo momento remete para a investigação sobre o tema referido anteriormente, tendo em conta os conceitos fundamentais e autores que abordam o tema; seguidamente, são apresentados os dados recolhidos de acordo com os vários momentos da investigação: i) analisar as preferências das crianças relativamente às histórias; ii) examinar a posição dos educadores face aos livros e, por fim, iii) compreender de que forma as histórias contribuem para o desenvolvimento da linguagem oral.

The present report appears as a reflexion of my Supervised Teaching Practice during the contexts of crèche and kindergarten, within the scope of Master’s Degree in Pre-School Education. The theme of this investigation is focused on “The stories for children’s as a resource for the development of oral language in Pre-School children”, as a response to the need to examine the importance of stories regarding children’s development, specifically, focusing on the oral language, and with the aim to understand the profile of the educator in these process. The methodology used is the research-action, because the results were obtained during the intervention. The report is presented in two parts, in which the first includes a description of the practice, as well as the activities implemented. The second moment is about the investigation of the chosen theme, namely by examining the key concepts for this study, as well as main contributors; the data is presented according to several moments of investigation: i) the analysis of the preference of the children within the stories; ii) the position of the educators in regards to the books; and, lastly iii) the understanding of how stories can contribute to the development of oral language.
